TIME Internet recently introduced a new 12-month internet plan created specifically for renters and those who relocate frequently.

This plan features a contract term that matches common annual rental agreements. For individuals who prefer to relocate after a one-year rental contract concludes, this internet plan is a good deal.

The new plan offers three options: 200Mbps for RM119 per month, 600Mbps for RM159 per month, and 1Gbps for RM219 per month.

For comparison, a 24-month contract costs RM99 (200Mbps), RM139 (600Mbps), and RM199 (1Gbps) per month.

While the new 12-month plan clearly comes with higher monthly fees compared to their current 24-month option, customers won’t have to worry about paying early termination fees that usually come with a 24-month contract.

As far as we know, TIME is the only ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Malaysia that offers a 12-month contract for fibre internet. TM Unifi, Maxis, and CelcomDigi are only offering 24-month contracts on their websites.

However, be aware that if you terminate TIME’s 12-month plan before the contract ends, it will incur a penalty of RM500 or the total of the remaining months’ fees, whichever is greater.

Please take note that a conversion from the new 12-month plan to the 24-month option, or the other way around, is not permitted. However, you are allowed to upgrade or downgrade to a different speed package if it is available under the same contract plan.

If you want to relocate, you are allowed as long as your new address is within TIME’s coverage area, and it is complimentary only after the completion of your contract.
