WhatsApp announced the introduction of a new feature called Chat Filters. These filters categorise your chat list based on various criteria.
There are three filters available: All, Unread, and Groups. They are conveniently located above the chat list for easy access with a single tap.
Tapping on “All” will display all of your chats. Opting for “Unread” will show only those conversations with unread messages, whether you haven’t opened them since new messages arrived or you’ve marked them as unread. Choosing “Groups” will exclusively display your group chats and subgroups of Communities.
WhatsApp emphasises that accessing the right conversation within its app should feel “quick, seamless, and simple,” and these filters should help with that.
These chat filters have started to rolling out and will become available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
