The Selangor government stands prepared to share data collected via the Selangkah app with the Central Database Hub (PADU) system for the purpose of verifying and updating the information of individuals residing in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced that approximately 3,712,616 records of 66,216 subsidy recipients within the Selangkah app, managed by Selangkah Ventures Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the state government, are eligible for sharing with PADU, pending agreement to terms and conditions of usage, according to Bernama.

He elaborated that the shared data encompasses details concerning beneficiaries of various state aid programs such as the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas), Selangor Mental Sihat (Sehat), Insentif MamaKerja, and the free health screening (Saring) initiative.

He expressed the state government’s belief that this action will result in an increase in available data on aid recipients in Selangor, which can then be shared with PADU. This, in turn, will indirectly assist the federal government in formulating or implementing national policies.

Amirudin noted that the Selangkah app currently boasts approximately 3.87 million active users, inclusive of individuals who do not benefit from subsidies or assistance provided by the Selangor government.

Furthermore, he anticipated the completion of the data transfer and cross-verification process between Selangkah and PADU by 19 April.
