The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) unveiled a new way for the public to report instances of misconduct by enforcement personnel via WhatsApp, using the number 019-3555215.
Bernama reported that according to the commission, complainants are required to type ADUAN SALAH LAKU followed by their name, contact information (address/phone number or email), the agency implicated in the complaint, and a detailed description of the complaint along with any supporting evidence (such as photos, videos, or documents).
The hotline will only accept written complaints and will promptly issue an automatic acknowledgment upon receipt, followed by further processing for initial approval before being deliberated upon during commission meetings, as stated by the commission. Operating hours for the hotline are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
In addition to this new hotline, the commission emphasised that complaints can still be submitted through existing channels, including the complaints resolution and investigation management system on the EAIC website, via email at aduan@eaic.gov.my, or in person at the EAIC complaints counter and customer service center located at Level G, Menara Usahawan in Putrajaya.
This new approach aims to facilitate accurate, convenient, and efficient lodging of complaints by the public, ensuring swift action can be taken, the commission further noted.
