Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin announced that individuals who did not register on the Central Database Hub (PADU) system will still have their basic data automatically entered into it.
According to the chief statistician, this data stored within the PADU system will streamline the Statistics Department’s analysis and census operations, as well as facilitate the efficient distribution of government assistance. Moreover, it will aid in tailoring government policies to meet the people’s needs, according to The Star.
He emphasised the necessity of dynamic data for the Statistics Department’s analyses and assured that for those who did not register with the PADU system, the department will utilise existing basic data.
Reiterating the system’s safety, he reassured the public that the PADU system and the data within it are secure. Since its launch on 2 January, the system has demonstrated uninterrupted functionality and smooth operation despite experiencing high volumes of traffic.
This, he noted, serves as evidence of the system’s robust development, ensuring seamless registration and information update processes.
For those who missed the registration, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said the registration will be reopened to the public for a second round, but provided no specific date.
