WhatsApp has announced a new feature allowing users to pin up to three messages in a chat for easier access. Previously, users were limited to pinning only one message atop a conversation with either a contact or a group.
The widely used messaging platform initially introduced the ability to pin a message in both one-on-one and group conversations in December 2023.
Users now have the capability to pin various types of messages, including text, images, and polls. Pinned messages serve as a convenient way to quickly retrieve important information.
To pin a message, users must long-press on it and select “Pin” from the menu. Additionally, users can choose the duration for the message to remain pinned—options include 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
However, there is no option to permanently keep a message pinned. Therefore, users must re-pin messages every 30 days. Users can also unpin a message whenever they want.
