Xiaomi is scheduled to debut the Xiaomi 14 series globally on 25 February 2024 and it’s rumoured that the company will also launch the Xiaomi 14 Ultra at the same time. But we don’t have to wait until that day to find out about the Ultra, because someone just leaked it.
According to a German tech site, WinFuture, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Some markets may also see a 1TB model.
In terms of display, the phone features a 6.73-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 1440p resolution and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display supports HDR10+ and includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The rear of the device showcases a substantial camera island with LEICA branding, housing flash modules and four 50MP cameras. This camera setup consists of a primary camera with a 1-inch type sensor, an ultrawide unit, a telephoto unit with 3.2x zoom, and a periscope telephoto unit with 5x zoom.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is reported to record videos in 8K at 24fps and 4K at 24/30/60fps, with the ability to capture 1080p slow-motion videos at 1,920 fps. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front-facing camera capable of recording 4K videos is included.
Powering the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a 5,300 mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C, and dual-SIM slots. The device has a thickness of 9.2mm, weighs 220g, and offers IP68 dust and water resistance.
The phone will be available in white and black colours, and it features vegan leather backs and aluminium frames. Additionally, there is a version with a titanium frame, though initial availability may be limited according to WinFuture.
