Horizon Forbidden West was first released on PS4 and PS5 on 18 February 2022. After close to two years later, the post-apocalyptic, action-adventure RPG is finally heading to the PC.
According to PlayStation Blog, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition is set to release on PC on 21 March 2024, introducing various features exclusive to the PC version.
This includes comprehensive ultra-wide support, accommodating resolutions such as 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 for triple-monitor setups on PC gaming stations.
The PC iteration of Horizon Forbidden West not only offers compatibility with mouse and keyboard but also boasts extensive controller support. DualSense controller users will experience enhanced gameplay, feeling the tension in their bowstring through adaptive triggers and sensing the impact during combat via haptic feedback.
Steam Input support is confirmed, enabling users to remap and customise their controllers based on personal preferences.
While specific PC requirements are yet to be disclosed, the game will leverage Nvidia DLSS 3 to enhance FPS for players equipped with an GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card.
Additionally, Horizon Forbidden West will support Intel’s XeSS and AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) supersampling technologies, though details on the FSR generation were not specified in the blog post.
