In keeping with its annual tradition, Apple has revealed the recipients of the App Store Award for the year 2023.
The awards span nine categories, encompassing outstanding iPhone and iPad apps and games, as well as winners for Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Arcade apps. Apple has also acknowledged generative AI as the Trend of the Year.

Prêt-à-Makeup has earned the title of iPad App of the Year, offering a “true-to-life makeup sketchpad” suitable for a diverse range of users, from professional artists to casual enthusiasts.

SmartGym has been recognised as the Apple Watch App of the Year, featuring a bundled library of workout routines and providing fitness reporting capabilities.

Photomator took the spotlight as the Mac App of the Year, a professional-grade photo editing suite equipped with machine-learning tools.

MUBI has secured the position of Apple TV App of the Year, offering a comprehensive platform for accessing indie films and international documentaries.

Honkai: Star Rail is iPhone Game of the Year, taking players through a narrative full of complex characters and an engaging turn-based combat.

Lost in Play was selected as the iPad Game of the Year, inviting players to tap into a charming, childlike imagination during an epic point-and-click adventure.

Lies of P is the Mac Game of the Year, thrusting players into an exquisitely crafted dark fantasy world with Souls-like combat.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure took the spot as Apple Arcade’s Game of the Year, delivering an immersive gaming world with its main goal being as sweet as can be: making friends.

There are also five Cultural Impact winners: Pok Pok, Proloquo, Too Good To Go, Unpacking, and Finding Hannah. These winners were recognised for their ability to drive positive change through apps and games.
