OnePlus Enters The Foldable Fold With The OnePlus Open

A German tech site says that it’s coming on 19 October and costs USD1,700 (~RM8,035).

OnePlus has been teasing its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, for a few weeks now. First, it was spotted in the hands of a famous Indian actress. After that, a YouTube channel, Unbox Therapy, had a hands-on look at the device.

OnePlus have also started teasing the device on X (formerly Twitter), saying that it’s “Opening Soon”.

But we won’t have to wait long to see the device in all its glory thanks to a German tech site, WinFuture, which got their hands on marketing images of the OnePlus Open.

WinFuture reports that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will power the phone. Additionally, rumors suggest the phone will feature 16GB of RAM, a 7.8-inch display, and a 6.31-inch outer screen, both of which will be 120Hz OLEDs.

There is also speculation that it may include two 48MP cameras, with one being an ultrawide lens, and a 64MP telephoto camera.

Moreover, it might sport a 32MP selfie camera on the outer display and a 20MP camera internally. Furthermore, it could be equipped with a 67W fast-charging 4,800mAh battery.

WinFuture also mentions that the OnePlus Open will be priced at USD1,700 (~RM8,035) and slated for release in the U.S. on 19 October 2023.
