The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) just announced its phased approach to mandating the use of e-Services for taxation, starting from 1 September 2023.

This move aligns with technological transformation and the digitalisation of the taxation service system, aimed at strengthening and perpetuating the digitisation of service delivery to the citizens.

LHDN stated that the utilisation of the provided e-Services will be mandatory, accessible online through the MyTax portal service gateway.

“The implementation of this mandatory e-Services adoption is in support of the government’s initiative to enhance the number of fully online services, from initiation to completion, in an End-to-End (E2E) process. This phased approach is expected to be fully realised by 1 January 2024.”

“It also represents one of our efforts to implement the Awareness, Education, and Services (A.E.S) elements across all LHDN Service Counters.”

“Taxpayers are encouraged to transition to this E2E service for all transactions, including using the provided online payment methods, ensuring that all recorded transactions are secure and orderly,” according to the statement.

User guides for the e-Service are accessible via the MyTax Portal at this LINK and go to User Manual.

For any inquiries and feedback, individuals can reach out to LHDN through the Hasil Care Line at 03-8911 1000 or 603-8911 1100 (International); HASiL Live Chat, and the Feedback Form on the official HASiL portal at this LINK.
