The presence of shops offering affordable used electronics and games has been scarce in Malaysia. However, this is set to transform with the introduction of Complete Entertainment Exchange (CeX).
CeX originated from the United Kingdom (UK) and has expanded its reach to over 630 stores across 10 countries – including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, the Netherlands, Australia, India, and Italy. This the first CeX outlet in Southeast Asia and the company that setup CeX here, Nuovolife Sdn. Bhd. said that Malaysia was chosen because of “its strategic location and rapidly growing economy in Southeast Asia”.

CeX Malaysia is set to impress with its wide-ranging inventory of more than 10,000 products, encompassing various consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, as well as an extensive collection of video games, hardware, accessories, cameras, audio technology, and specialised items like virtual reality (VR) and drone tech. They even offer a two-year warranty on all products.
Besides that, they are not just selling used products; you can also sell your unwanted devices and games to them. They will give you cash or store credit that can be used to buy their products.
Looking at the CeX Malaysia site, they are selling a PS5 Digital version for only RM1,700, Nintendo Switch Lite for as low as RM700, Xbox Series X for RM2,100, and so much more.
The company said they are planning to expand its presence throughout the Klang Valley by 2023, with second CeX store in MyTown shopping centre in August 2023, and into other regions of Malaysia by 2026.
