Typically, Samsung hosts two Galaxy Unpacked events each year. The first event is usually held in February and focuses on Galaxy smartphones, while the second event takes place in August and features the Galaxy Z Fold, Z Flip, and other devices. It seems the next event might take place earlier than assumed.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is reportedly planning to release several new devices later this year, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Watch 6, and potentially new earbuds. It’s speculated that Samsung’s next Unpacked event could take place during the last week of July, which supports earlier rumours suggesting that some of the aforementioned devices may be introduced earlier than expected.

Given the increasing competition in the foldable devices market and the impending launch of Google’s first foldable, the Pixel Fold, Samsung may not want to leave too much time for competitors to gain market share.

This could explain why Samsung is potentially moving up the launch of their devices to prevent potential customers from opting for the Pixel Fold instead of the Galaxy Z Fold or Galaxy Z Flip smartphones.

Typically, Samsung announces its new products in the middle of the week. Therefore, it’s likely that the next Unpacked event will be held between 25-27 July, although there has been no official confirmation of the exact date yet. Take note that this is just rumour and speculation, so don’t take it too seriously.
