Education Ministry Will Be Distributing 50,000 Laptops To Schools Nationwide For Digital Learning

Malay Mail reports that the Ministry of Education is currently in the process of distributing 50,000 laptops to schools across the country to aid in the use of digital textbooks for learning.

The director-general, Datuk Pkharuddin Ghazali, explained that the ministry is working on a plan to distribute the laptops evenly among all schools.

Pkharuddin emphasized that electronic devices are necessary to support the use of digital textbooks and that the ministry has already produced more than 70% of them.

He added that the ministry is aiming to implement a digital education policy, which will be presented to the Cabinet for approval, with the objective of providing more engaging learning resources for students.

Besides the laptops, students are also getting a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 LTE tablet for education purposes, under the PerantiSiswa program.
