When Elon Musk took over Twitter, he was trying to get revenue for the social media company. So, in 2021, Twitter launched Twitter Blue, a subscription service that allows users to write more in a tweet, see less ads, get blue verification checkmark and more for USD8 a month on web and USD11 for iOS and Android users.
Previously, it’s not available in Malaysia. But not anymore. Twitter users can start subscribing to Twitter Blue for RM35 per month or RM369 annually.
The subscription price is higher when subscribed through the iPhone. If you subscribe via iPhone, it costs RM50 per month, or RM519.90 per year. For Android users, you guys have to wait. Everyone can subscribe to Twitter Blue on Twitter, with the exception that new accounts must wait 90 days before being able to subscribe.
Twitter Blue offers the ability to edit Tweets, the ability to upload 1080p videos and with longer durations, access to Bookmark Folders, and so on. The company also says that in the future Twitter Blue subscribers will see only a portion of the ads, in addition to allowing your Tweet replies to be shown at the top.
