As announced in late December 2022, the prepaid mobile data plan for the B40 and other low-income groups is finally available for registration.

Amanz reports that the Ministry of Communications and Digital today officially launched the Unity Package mobile data plan, offering internet access at up to 3Mbps with 30GB data for RM30 and the plan will last for six months (180 days). Eligible people only have to pay around RM5 per month.

Local telecommunications companies, including Celcom, Digi, Maxis Hotlink, U Mobile, Unifi Mobile, Yes, OneXOX, Mcalls, and TuneTalk will be offering this mobile package.

This package is offered to people under the age of 30, customers in the B40 segment, disabled persons, senior citizens aged 60 and above, as well as military and police veterans. The registration will be open until 31 December 2023.

Eligible individuals below 30 and over 60 years old can apply for the plan online. For others, you need to go to the nearest telco store to verify your eligibility. For examples, here are screenshots from Digi and Celcom.
