March 2023 is going to be a very busy month for the Android smartphones market in Malaysia because two big Chinese smartphone brands will be bringing their devices to our shores.
Xiaomi 13 Series
After launching the Xiaomi 13 Series in China back in December last year, Xiaomi is finally bringing them to this side of the world and they will be launching the phones on Monday, 27 February 2023.
The Xiaomi 13 Series are packing Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and both also support up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Besides that, both phones have IP68 dust and water-resistant rating.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 2K 6.73-inch LTPO OLED, 120Hz refresh rate, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. While the Xiaomi 13 has a smaller FHD+ 6.36-inch OLED, 120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, but no LTPO.
The regular Xiaomi 13 has a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3.2x telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The 13 Pro version has a more capable camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 3.2x telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide. Both of the phones are using a 32MP camera as selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 13 has a 4,500mAh battery that support 67W wired fast-charging, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless. The Pro version has a bigger 4,820mAh battery that support a much faster 120W wired fast-charging and the rest are the same as the regular version.
Oppo Find N2 Flip
The company launched Oppo Find N2 Flip globally last week and they just tweeted this morning that they will be launching the foldable phone in Malaysia on Thursday, 2 March 2023.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is packing MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC, comes with up to 16GB RAM, 512GB storage and running ColorOS 13. It has two screens, a 6.8-inch 120Hz FullHD+ folding AMOLED display, and a 3.26-inch outer display of 720×382 resolution.
The Find N2 Flip has a dual-camera setup on the back, a 50MP main camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There’s also a 32MP selfie camera. Powering the foldable phone is a 4,300mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.
