WhatsApp has just announced three new features plus an old one for Android: document caption, longer group subjects and descriptions, sharing up to 100 media at once, and avatars. These features have been made available for all users, you just need to update the app from Google Play Store.

Document Caption

Users can now add captions when they share documents. You can describe what the document is to the recipient.

Longer group subjects and descriptions

You can now select a longer subject and description for your groups in order to properly describe them.

Share up to 100 media at once

It’s now easier for users to share memes, gifs, photos and videos with their friends and family because you can share up to 100 media files in chats. Previously, users are limited up to 30 media files.

Avatars

This is not a new feature because WhatsApp released this feature last year December. The company is just highlighting it again for users who might not be aware of its existence.

At the time of writing, WhatsApp didn’t say anything whether these new features will be coming to iOS.
