When Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series more than a week ago, the smartphones came with a new feature tailored specifically for gamers.

The feature called “Pause USB Power Delivery” is an option that gamers can activate it via the Game Booster app. When this option is enabled while gaming, battery charging is paused and power from the attached charger is routed directly to the processor. This prevents the battery from warming up, which enhances the phone’s ability to play games.

However, this feature only works for gaming. You can’t use it while binging Netflix or any other usage. SamMobile reports that this feature is coming to older Galaxy phones as well. The Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and even non-flagship phone such as the Galaxy A73 5G is getting it.

To use this feature, you need to update the Game Booster app to the latest 5.0.03.0 version and you can update the app through Galaxy Store. Besides that, it seems you also need a compatible charger as some users claims that the feature is only available when they use Samsung’s 45W charger. I tried using it with OnePlus’s 150W charger and it works with S23 Ultra.
