If you’re still confused about renewing your driving licence and road tax after the recent announcement about the digitisation of the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) services, the simple answer is chill.

First of all, if MYEG has been your go-to platform to renew these things, you can continue to do so as usual.

The only difference now is that you can opt to decline the physical copies of your driving licence and road tax.

In a statement, MYEG said vehicle owners and drivers can continue renewing road taxes and driving licences as usual through their existing channels, with the added
flexibility now for users to forgo receiving physical copies of their documents.

“MYEG wishes to assure all our valued users that the provision of road tax and driver licence renewals continues uninterrupted,” it said.
