Apple is working on a new version of the iPad Mini and is set to launch the new tablet by the end of 2023 or the first half of 2024.

TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a series of tweets that the new iPad Mini will have a new chipset — which will be its main selling point — but didn’t elaborate further on the device’s other specifications.

He also said it is unlikely that the Mini will be replaced in the near future by a line of foldable iPads due to cost restraints.

I don’t think Apple will replace the iPad Mini with a folding iPad in 2025, as some media previously predicted. This is because the price of the folding iPad should be significantly higher than that of the iPad mini, so such a replacement is unreasonable.

The latest, sixth-generation iPad Mini was introduced by Apple back in 2021 and features a complete redesign with a larger display, no Home button, the A15 Bionic chip, and a USB-C port.

It boasts a larger screen and a better processor compared to its predecessors, with support for the second-generation Apple Pencil.
