We are certain that at some point in our lives, many of us must have sent the wrong message or something to someone or a group in WhatsApp and scrambled to delete it. But sometimes, in a moment of panic, you choose the wrong option instead, and your wrong message remains in view for everyone else. WhatsApp knows it’s embarrassing, which is why they came up with this new feature.

TechCrunch reported that the instant messaging platform has released a new feature dubbed the “Accidental Delete”, that let users undo the “Delete for Me” action.

The new feature gives users a five-second period to delete messages for everyone in a group or individual conversation instead of just themselves.

Users may find themselves in a position where they unintentionally select the “Delete for Me” option rather than the “Delete for Everyone” button to remove a wrongly sent message. This new feature gives them a brief window to go back and take the opposite action.

WhatsApp said this new feature will be coming to all iPhone and Android users. So, keep an eye out for this update.
