Apple just announced the winners of its annual App Store Awards. These awards include apps and games for all of the company’s platforms, including the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple TV. The winners were chosen by the App Store editorial team.
Apps of the Year
iPhone App of the year goes to BeReal. Once per day, users of this app can share a selfie or a snapshot taken with their rear camera. You can check your friends’ posts to see what they are doing after posting your daily capture.

GoodNotes 5 is the iPad App of the year. It is a note-taking application with support for the Apple Pencil, teamwork features, and PDF annotation.

The Mac App of the year is MacFamilyTree10. This programme for genealogy allows users to create family trees and include diagrams, data, pictures, and sound samples.

ViX is the Apple TV app of the year. This is a streaming service for Spanish-speaking audiences.

Apple Watch app of the year goes to Gentler Streak. This is a fitness tracker app and it helps users balance fitness and rest to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Games of the Year
Apex Mobile Legends is the iPhone game of the year. This is a hero-shooter multiplayer battle royale game.

The iPad game of the year goes to Moncage. This is an optical illusion puzzle game.

Inscryption is the Mac game of the year. Inscryption is a card-based game that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror.

Apple TV game of the year is El Hijo. This is a non-violent stealth game where you play a six-year-old boy trying to survive in the Wild West.

The Apple Arcade game of the year winner is Wylde Flowers. This is a life and farming sim set in a magical world.
