Yesterday was the last day for the remaining five telecommunication providers to sign access agreements (AA) with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) to lease DNB’s 5G network. The first telco to sign the AA was YTL Communications (Yes) and they did it much earlier. They were also the first telco to offer commercial 5G services.

Today, another four telcos announced that they had signed the AA. In total, five telcos have already signed, the only one left is Maxis. The five telcos are Telekom Malaysia (Unifi Mobile), Celcom, Digi, YTL Communications (Yes), and U Mobile.

Following the announcement, SoyaCincau reported that Unifi Mobile is ready to offer 5G now via its Uni5G prepaid and postpaid plan.
