Yesterday, we covered the release of the 10th-generation iPad and 6th-generation iPad Pro. The new iPad is significantly more expensive than the 9th generation, and now it seems that’s not the only iPad that received a price increase.
GSMArena reported Apple increased the price of iPad Mini 2021 without notice across the globe. Countries such as Australia, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Thailand, Netherlands, UK and of course, Malaysia are affected by this.
Only US and Canada prices remain unchanged. Here, the iPad Mini receives a price bump between RM100 to RM300.
Product | Old Price | New Price |
iPad Mini 64GB (WiFi) | RM2,299 | RM2,399 |
iPad Mini 256GB (WiFi) | RM2,949 | RM3,149 |
iPad Mini 64GB (WiFi+Cellular) | RM2,949 | RM3,149 |

The iPad Mini is more expensive than the 10th gen iPad, but you are getting a better screen quality and a more powerful chip in it (A14 in the iPad vs A15 in iPad Mini). Also, the iPad Mini supports Apple Pencil 2, while the iPad only supports Apple Pencil 1.
