With the imminent demise of Google Stadia, Xbox is the next best cloud gaming service currently available to consumers. Unlike Stadia where you have to buy the games and pay for the subscriptions, you need to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and you can immediately start playing more than 100 Xbox titles on your devices and even on supported browsers.

Microsoft said they “invested heavily in the cloud” and “more than 10 million people around the world have streamed games through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate”. So, it is no wonder why they would want to make a cloud gaming streaming device for people who can’t afford an Xbox or a gaming PC.

The Verge reported that the company announced that it would launch a cloud streaming device back in June 2021. The Xbox cloud streaming device, codenamed Keystone, is still a work-in-progress and Microsoft said they are still planning to bring it to the market.

Xbox’s head honcho, Phil Spencer tweeted yesterday about the 25th anniversary of the Fallout franchise. But there’s something more to it.

As you can see from the image above, at the top of the shelf, right next to an Xbox controller, you can see a white box-shaped device that resembles Xbox Series S.

Microsoft has not officially announced the device yet, but a reply from the Xbox Twitter account suggests that it is indeed Keystone that we are looking at.

Also, you can spot the Logitech G Cloud Gaming device sitting right next to the Vault Boy on the lower right of the image. This is another cloud gaming device that supports Xbox Cloud Gaming and is no doubt going to be a competitor to Keystone.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is not officially available in Malaysia, but we get the PC Game Pass. We are hoping that one day, Microsoft will bring this to our shores.
