The Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are stylish, and we were amazed at how Apple could think of a way to hide the ugly notch and make it useful as well. But if Apple can do it, surely Android can do the same, right? You betcha. An Android developer set out to do just that.
Apple just launched their iPhone 14 series just last week and someone already copied one of the most talked about features of the iPhone. The dynamicSpot was created by an Android apps developer, Jawomo, and the app is trying to do like what Apple did with its Dynamic Island.
Right now, the app is already available to download for free on Google Play Store, but it is still in early access. So, expect some bugs/glitches and very limited functionality at the moment.
You can also adjust the position and size of the island, so you can place the island just perfectly over your phone’s selfie camera. If you want more functions, you have to pay RM19.99 to unlock functions like showing the island on your lockscreen, single tap to open an app, long press to expand or collapse the popup and more.
For now, it’s more of a gimmick than actually being useful. We hope Jawomo continues to develop this app and make it as useful as Apple’s version.
