If you are an avid stamp collector, this new set of limited-edition stamps might be right up your alley. Not only are you getting the real stamps, but you are also getting digital stamps to go with them as well.

In a news article by The Star, Pos Malaysia has decided to bring the stamp collecting hobby into the 21st century with the launch of its first NFT stamps. Pos Malaysia and APOM collaborated on the #EMPATBELAS Setem Ku folder set to commemorate Malaysia Day 2022. APOM, or A Piece of Malaysia, is a local company that specialises in Malaysian-made products.

One stamp folder has one stamp sheet, which has 14 stamps on it. Each stamp sheet was lovingly created by a local artist and represents each state and the federal territories of Malaysia, exhibiting the distinctiveness, culture, and pride of the regions. Inside the folder, besides the stamps, there are three envelopes and three postcards as well.

Pos Malaysia said they are the second postal service provider in South-East Asia to provide NFT stamps, the first one being Thailand Post.

You can get the stamp folder online and at the Kuala Lumpur General Post Office. You can also get them at all General Post Offices and selected post offices from 12 September 2022. Each folder will retail for RM59. You can check out the NFT stamps on Pentas.io.

To redeem the NFT stamps, you need to have a MetaMask wallet. You can find out more about how to redeem the NFT on Pos Malaysia’s website. Just remember to redeem the NFT by 31 October 2022. With every purchase of the stamp folder set, you will get to redeem one out of 14 limited-edition NFT stamps for free.

Be quick, though, because we expect these limited-edition stamps and NFT to sell out quickly.
