If you live in Klang Valley, there is one card that is as important as your IC and credit/debit cards: the Touch ‘n Go (TnG) card. For parking, tolls, public transportation, paying bills and buying things, the TnG card is essential.
However, it is a pain in the rear end if you want to reload it, as you can only do so physically. This is why everyone in Malaysia is trying to get their hands on the Enhanced TnG card because it is an NFC card and you can just reload it using your smartphone.
According to a user on a Chinese social media app, Xiaohongshu or XHS (Little Red Book), TnG is supposedly restocking the cards today on the TnG eWallet app at 10 a.m.
But when one of our editors tried to get her hands on the card, she encountered heavy traffic. This means everyone is trying to get the card at the same time as well.
She still couldn’t get her hands on it after trying for some time as the cards ran out of stock.
Touch ‘n Go said they couldn’t keep up with the demand because of chip shortages and supply chain issues.
But here’s a plot twist. They are selling the cards on Lazada for the 9.9 sales.
So, it seems that there’s another way to get your hands on these much sought-after cards, but you’ll have to wait if you want to get one.
If you want to buy one, you can head over the Touch ‘n Go eWallet store on Lazada. You’d better be quick tomorrow, as it will be sold out very quickly.
