Students Will Get To Keep Those Samsung Tablets They Got From The Peranti Siswa Programme

Students who received the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 LTE tablet, tablet cover, keyboard, and stylus in a box with the picture of Tan Sri Ismail Sabri as a part of the Peranti Siswa Programme will get to keep everything, says the man on the box.

The Prime Minister said in a tweet yesterday that Peranti Siswa recipients will get to keep the branded tablets so that their education will not be disrupted.

The Peranti Siswa programme was originally meant to equip students from B40 families who are studying in institutes of higher learning at diploma, advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree level, with tablets. 

Since then the government announced phase two of the programme that will include students following the foundation program and matriculation in public higher education institutions (IPTA), Form 6, and vocational diploma programmes.

Before this latest announcement was made by the Prime Minister, it was understood that Peranti Siswa tablets will have to be returned to the student’s respective schools once their studies concluded.
