Riot Games announced today that the legendary luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co. is now the official trophy designer of the League Of Legends World Championship Trophy. This is a part of a multi-year global partnership with League of Legends Esports (LoL Esports).
Tiffany & Co. has been handcrafting trophies for a variety of professional sports such as football, basketball, and baseball since 1860. It was also responsible for designing the LoL Pro League Silver Dragon Cup which celebrates ten years of LoL Esports in China.
The new Summoner’s Cup weighs 44 pounds and stands approximately 69cm. It took four months or 277 man-hours to make it out of sterling silver.

The redesign of the Summoner’s Cup, the trophy given to the winner of the ‘Worlds’, will be unveiled across Riot Games, LoL Esports, and Tiffany & Co. digital and social channels at 10 pm on 29 August.
Meanwhile, Riot Games also announced that the League of Legends World Championship is returning to North America for the first time since 2016 and is restarting its multi-city tour format (after a two-year hiatus).
The competition begins with the Play-In stage, 29 September to 4 October 4 in Mexico City. It is then followed by Groups (7 to10 and 13 to 16 October) and Quarterfinal rounds (20 to 23 October) in New York City.
