Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro are coming to Malaysia soon. 

The Galaxy Watch5 is said to have enhanced features for the daily user and the new Galaxy Watch5 Pro is Samsung’s most durable and feature-packed watch.

Galaxy Watch5 is equipped with Samsung’s BioActive Sensor. First introduced on the Galaxy Watch4 series, it uses a single chip that combines two health sensors that could read heart rate, blood oxygen level, and even stress level. But now, it has increased surface area and more direct contact with your wrist.

Better Insights To Improve Your Outsides

The Body Composition measurement tool in the Galaxy Watch 5 is said to provide a complete snapshot of the user’s overall health.

Samsung then uses that data to offer goals and workouts tailored to each user and track their progress. 

The Galaxy Watch5 can also help with recovery with post-cardio heart rate analysis and customised recommendations on water consumption based on sweat loss.

When you sleep, Sleep Scores monitor your stages of sleep, if you snore, and your blood oxygen levels. Sleep Coaching helps you develop a healthy sleeping habit and routine and through SmartThings integration, Galaxy Watch5 automatically sets connected lights, AC units, and TVs to help you sleep better. 

Also, if you fall out of bed, the Galaxy Watch5 will use your phone to notify your emergency contacts.

Galaxy Watch5 comes with a 13% larger battery than the Galaxy Watch4 and provides eight hours of sleep tracking with just eight minutes of charging. 

A huge improvement in durability with the Galaxy Watch5 is the use of the Sapphire Crystal display. It is a standard in luxury mechanical watches and is prized for its scratch resistance.

Galaxy Watch5 Pro

The Galaxy Watch5 Pro is the newest addition to the Galaxy Watch lineup and replaces the Classic from last year. It features a Sapphire Crystal, titanium casing and comes with an all-new D-Buckle Sport Band.

The Galaxy Watch5 Pro also has the largest battery of a Galaxy Watch. 

For those who like to go off the beaten path, GPX – available for the first time on a Galaxy Watch – will help you know where you are and where you’ve been. You can even share or try other routes using Route Workout in the health app. 

Pricing & Availability  

The Galaxy Watch5 comes in two models and each with its own set of colours.

The large 44mm model comes in Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver while the Small 40mm model comes in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver which features a Bora Purple strap.

The price for the Galaxy Watch5 will start at RM1,099 for the Bluetooth version.

The 45mm Galaxy Watch5 Pro will be available in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium. It has a starting price of RM1,899 for the Bluetooth version.
