Touch ‘n Go (TNG) might have accidentally sold their Enhanced Touch ‘n Go before the launch. The sale of the cards immediately ceased after tech portals began to cover it and the card’s “enhanced” features are not yet available on the app.

In early April SoyaCincau caught TnG accidentally the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go launch video detailing the card’s main feature, the ability for users to deposit value into the card via NFC and the TnG eWallet app.

The video has since been taken down.

Yesterday, both Amanz and LowYat.net managed to get their hands on the unreleased Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card.

It costs RM10 each, just like the current TNG card. It also has a vertical design with muted gradients on both sides.

A silver foiled stamp of the Touch ‘n Go logo, Touch ‘n Go eWallet logo, and NFC logo is stamped on one side, and a QR code, serial number, and expiry date are stamped on the other.

Expiry dates on TNG cards are not new, but it seems that the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go cards are marked to have a lifespan of seven years.

The sale of the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go cards was immediately ceased as soon as the word for out.

It’s probably a good thing because the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app does not have the feature to load credits into the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go just yet. It will only be available with updated version 1.7.72.

However, it seems that scalpers have already capitalised on TNG’s mistake and have started selling the cards at a marked up price.

RinggitPlus reported that sellers are using the term NFC Series 2022 TNG Card on Lazada and were selling the cards for RM19. Those postings have since been removed.

But we did find a seller on Shopee that is selling the cards for RM15.
