In the Twitter post, not only did Parag share a brief explanation of how the events turned out, but he also shared a smart way of circumventing Twitter’s 280 character limit, without using a string of Tweets.
Elon has decided not to join our board. I sent a brief note to the company, sharing with you all here. pic.twitter.com/lfrXACavvk

The takeaway here is that just because Musk is not on the board doesn’t mean he will not try to shake things up as he is the biggest shareholder in the company.
He would have some leverage, especially when combined with his popularity.
Smart thing is, he could do it while not having the burden of responsibility of being a member of the board.
Too bad.
