Being dragged into a Twitter thread by spam, accidentally, or on purpose, can be a hassle, so Twitter announced that it is rolling out a feature that allows users to remove “@” mentions from unwanted tweets and threads.
This can be especially useful for people who often get mistaken in Tweets because their Twitter handle is similar to the name of a famous person.
The “Unmention” feature was first teased in June last year as a concept. But, even with the rollout, Twitter has not mentioned when the feature is coming to the app.
Unlike the much-anticipated edit feature, “unmention” is available for free and not just for Twitter Blue subscribers.
How do you say “Don’t @ me,” without saying “Don’t @ me”?
