The strangest happened to the Oppo Malaysia official Twitter account this morning. Its profile photo was changed to Elon Musk and it started spewing posts about Tesla’s self-driving technology and cryptocurrency.
Amanz reported that the incident happened this morning at 9 am.
As of this writing, the profile picture on the OPPO Malaysia Twitter account is left blank and there are over a hundred deleted Twitter posts on the account. These are presumably the posts put up by the intruder.
You can avoid this from happening to your Twitter or any online accounts by activating two-factor authentication (2FA).
