The Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JTD FC) has never shied away from trying new things and entering new ventures for the enjoyment of their fans.
When the Southern Tigers (as they are also known) announced that it was going to dip its toes into non-fungible tokens (NFT) back in July last year, it was met with excitement, but no surprise.
Recently JTD FC announced their next big step into NFT, and it’s twofold.
First is the JDT Fan NFT, the product itself. Collectable digital memorabilia that will also grant collectors access to VIP treatment and a unique player experience.
In other words, the NFTs that JDT FC is going to release are not just digital artworks and tokens. They will have real-world benefits attached to them such as the ability to vote on certain club decisions and exclusive promotions.
The second is the JDT NFT Marketplace. This will not only be the place where fans could buy the NFTs but also where they could unlock the perks that come with their purchase and interact with each other.
According to the JDT FC, the two projects are being realised with the help of two international companies and the deal is set to be worth millions of dollars to the football club.
