It was thought that MBO Cinemas was gone for good after they closed down all branches and majority of their assets were acquired by GSC earlier this year. But they have returned and is now under new management.

To celebrate this revival, MBO has officially opened the Atria Shopping Gallery, Petaling Jaya branch after offering free screenings from 24 to 26 Dec.

Tickets can be purchased via the ticket kiosk located on-site or the new MBO Cinemas App which is only available on Google Play Store. You can also still use the old iOS app if you still have it on your device.

The new management is also introducing a new membership program and are urging customers to keep the old membership cards as they are trying to gain access to the old points system to transfer the points over to the new one.

Meanwhile, MBO Cinemas has announced that they are gradually reopening several locations including MBO Elements Mall, MBO Brem Mall, MBO Space U8, MBO Taiping Sentral Mall, MBO Teluk Intan, MBO Melaka Mall and MBO U-Mall Skudai.
