They include the non-fungible token (NFT) community in Malaysia which helped raise funds that will be donated to NGOs and animal shelters, easing the burden on those who are helping the victims.

Twitter user @NoFutur3_ started this movement by Tweeting his eWallet address, asking the NFT community to donate the funds through him, ensuring donors that the funds will be spent in a transparent and responsible manner.

The initial goal was to get 3BNB which is approximately RM6,700. The community blew past that goal, raising a total of 37.34BNB which is around RM83,000.

So far, 27.55BNB (~RM61,000) have successfully made its way to various shelters and organisations for supplies, according to Lowyat.NET.

NFT artists are also helping out by selling their work and donating the proceeds to @NoFutur3_’s fund.
