League Of Legends World Championships, better known as Worlds is one of E-sports’ biggest events in the calendar and recently, Riot Games recently made an announcement that the 2022 edition of the tournament will be held in four different cities in North America.
Worlds will take place in New York, Toronto, Mexico City, and San Francisco.
Riot says this decision was paramount, because this will be the first time Worlds will be taking place in four different cities in the Americas.
It will also be the first Worlds to take place in North America since 2016.
So far, all we know from reports is that the play-ins will take place in Liga Latinoamerica competition arena in Mexico followed by group stages and quarterfinals in Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA.
The semifinals will take place in Scotiabank Arena in Canada with the finals reported to take place in Chase Center, San Francisco, USA.

What is yet to be confirmed is if the tournaments will feature live audience. The information will be likely be released soon.
Because of the pandemic, the 2021 edition of Worlds took place in Reykjavik, Iceland instead of Shenzen, China. The month-long tournament saw underdogs Edward Gaming took the win from DWG KIA.
