Back in June, Twitter launched Twitter Blue, a subscription service that freed Twitter users from ads and let them Undo their tweets. The service was first available only on iOS.
Now Twitter is expanding the service to the US and New Zealand. They are also expanding the feature to Android and their web platform.
For 2.99USD per month, Twitter Blue users get a whole bunch of perks and features.
One of these features is the oft-requested Undo Tweet button, which is self-explanatory.
The buffer time feature on the other hand lets users set a timer, up to 30 seconds, between when they click send and when the post goes up. This gives them time to rethink their post or reply.
Twitter Blue subscribers will also get to read ad-free articles from participating sites. Currently, there are more than 300 US-based sites that have agreed to participate in the program.
Headlines from these sites will be marked by Ad-free with Twitter Blue.
The social media giant hopes to include publications outside of the US into the program moving forward.
Another perk of Twitter Blue subscribers is a roundup of the most shared article updated every 24 hours called Top Articles.
Right now, Twitter Blue is only available in four countries and most of its features are only available on iOS. So it will probably take a while before reaching our shores.
