The Malaysian based eSports team, Team Secret took the win in the 4th Season of the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Pro League South East Asia Championship.
They bagged a cash prize of RM128,251, beating Indonesia’s Bigetron RA (second place, RM84,945) and Thailand’s FaZe Clan (third place, RM63,292).
Team Secret were not the only Malaysian based team that entered the championships. Malaysian teams 4Rivals, GeekFam and Axis RedOne earned RM50,00, RM34,977 and RM25,816 respectively, finishing in the top 10.

The winning team members were;
- Captain, Aekachai “MADTOI” Areesanan.
- Sniper, Raymond “IShotz” Tan.
- Secondary Fragger, Ahmad Fuad “Fredo” Razali.
- Co-In-Game-Leader, Muhammad Izzrudin “Jumper” Hashim.
- Fragger, Muhammad Danish “KiD” Yusniza.
- Analyst, Jay “Y2K” Lim.
The team dedicated their win to their fans in a Facebook post, thanking them for all the support the fans have given them throughout the competition and beyond that.
Season 4 of the PUBG Mobile SEA Championships was livestreamed on YouTube and racked over 1.3 million views. The tournament also featured teams from Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Singapore.
Team Secret and 4Rivals will carry the Malaysian flag in the PUBG Mobile Global Championships (PMGC) set to take place from Nov 30, 2021 to Jan 23, 2022. The global championships features a RM24 million prize pool, the largest in the game’s history.
Also worth noting that, PUBG Mobile is a medal event in the 19th Asian Games happening in Hangzhou, China next year.
