PAS Central election director Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said that the Malaysian Islamic Party is taking their bid for Melaka in the upcoming state elections, online.

Muhammad Sanusi, who’s also Kedah Menteri Besar, explains that PAS is conducting 70% of its campaigning on social networks as a preemptive measure.

He said the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the state polls to be issued by the Election Commission (EC) and the National Security Council (MKN) would most likely not allow for conventional campaigning such as house-to-house visits.

The remaining 30% will be conventional campaigning. This may involve some visits, but I’m sure it won’t be as lively as before, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The EC set the nomination date for the Melaka state election on 8 Nov, followed by early voting on 16 Nov and polling date on 20 Nov.
