WhatsApp has released a native app for the Apple Watch, enabling users to send messages, record voice notes and browse chats directly from their wrist.
Full Chat, Voice Notes and Media on the Wrist
Users can now view full chat threads, send voice-recorded replies and interact via emoji reactions on the Apple Watch. The app also allows viewing of shared images and stickers without accessing a paired iPhone.
For those who rely heavily on WhatsApp, the upgrade allows messaging without reaching for a phone. Tasks such as replying during workouts or when the phone is pocketed become simpler and more immediate.
Apple Watches running watchOS 10 or later are compatible, and the app is rolling out globally via the App Store. Installations require an existing WhatsApp account on an iPhone.
