Acer Predator Triton 500 SE will set you back a pretty penny, but the pre-order gifts might be worth it.

If you are in the market for a new gaming laptop that looks like it belongs in the office, Acer has just the laptop for you.

While there are a lot of 16-inch gaming laptops for anyone in the market for them, what sets the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE apart is the design language; clean and understated.

The launch of its older brother the Predator Triton 300 SE, back in January, saw a sleek design with a stealthy and understated look. A “go to” for premium laptops nowadays.

The Predator Triton 500 SE will continue that understated, sleeper design while stuffing the beast with the latest and greatest from NVIDIA and Intel.

Understated design language from Acer’s Predator team.

This is where I give you the bad news: The option for a mini-LED panel is unavailable for the Malaysian market. However, the IPS, WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution 16-inch display and its 165Hz refresh rate is nothing to look down on.

Here is the good news: You can choose between an Intel Core i7-11800H processor with a GeForce RTX 3070 and 16GB RAM, or a Core i9-11900H processor with a GeForce RTX 3080 and 32GB RAM.

Both options come with 1TB solid state drive by default. A beast indeed.

Lets talk about how much the two variants will set you back. The Core i7 variant costs RM8,999 and the Core i9 will set you back RM12,999.

It will be available for preorders starting 30 October to 6 November at the Acer Malaysia online shop, the brand’s official Shopee page and official Predator partners across Malaysia.

If do you happen to preorder the Predator Triton 500 SE, you will also get a Predator Gaming Chair, a Utility Backpack, a Galea 350 headset, and some limited-edition merchandise.

Pretty sweet deal in my opinion.
