The Sims series is a life simulation game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts (EA). The first The Sims title was released back in 2000, and The Sims 4 is the latest title in the series, released in 2014. The Sims 5, codenamed “Project Rene“, is currently in early development and there’s no release date for it yet.

If you have never try playing any of the The Sims games, this is the best chance for you to get into it. You can get the game via EA’s Origin app or Steam for PC/Mac. The game is also available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One systems.

You can get The Sims 4 EA Play Edition, which includes the Get to Work addition, if you play through EA Play or EA Play Pro. Subscribers of EA Play Pro may also get the EA Play Pro Edition, which also includes the Toddler Stuff pack and the Get to Work expansion.

Remember, only the base game is free. Over the years, EA has released many downloadable contents (DLCs) for The Sims 4. A quick check on Steam reveals if you want to buy all the DLCs, prepare to fork out RM2,394.95 (at the time of writing).

But the base game should be more than enough to keep you occupied. EA has added a lot of free content to the base game over the years. So, what are you waiting for? Start creating a character and live a life that you always wanted.
