The Polish company is no stranger to gamers from around the world. They are well-known for their Witcher series and the poorly launched (but recently resurrected thanks to an anime), Cyberpunk 2077. They are also running their own digital distribution platform, GOG.com, which offers DRM-free games. Now, the company gave us a glimpse of what they are planning to do in the next few years.

Gamespot reported that the Warsaw-based company provided an update to their strategy that focuses on a number of important long-term projects. The studio plans to produce a variety of games set in the Cyberpunk and The Witcher universes in the upcoming years. Additionally, it is developing the conceptual design for a third exclusive IP under the codename Hadar.

Project Sirius is a game set in The Witcher universe, is a fresh approach on the franchise that appeals to both devoted followers and newcomers. It is being developed by The Molasses Flood, the company that created Flame in the Flood, and has more than 60 people working on it at this time. The studio said this title will provide single and multiplayer gameplay.

Project Polaris will be the start of a new Witcher trilogy. More than 150 people are working on this story-driven open-world role-playing game at CD Projekt Red, which is based on the foundation of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Beginning with this game, a new Witcher trilogy will be released, with the goal of finishing it six years after the release of Polaris.

Project Canis Majoris will be another Witcher-themed single-player open-world RPG created by a third-party studio under the direction of former Witcher veterans.

Project Orion is a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and will be developed by CD Projekt’s new North American studio.

The company is also developing a new IP dubbed Hadar. This project is now in the conceptual stage and has been under incubation since 2021. The company described this game as being different from Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher and is being created entirely internally.

In addition to its game endeavours, CD Projekt intends to venture into television and movies. Cyberpunk Edgerunners (this is an awesome anime!) has been a major success for the company’s transmedia strategy, and it intends to work with other partners to create more content based on its products.

After the much anticipated but disappointing Cyberpunk 2077, we are keeping our expectations in check. But we are curious to see what CD Projekt Red brings to the table in the future.
