This month marked the three year anniversary since the Apple Arcade was launched. To celebrate, five games are joining its already extensive library.
Four of these games are “Arcade Originals”, games that are mobile exclusives on the game subscription platform.
Launching this Friday (2 September) is a game created and developed in partnership with award-winning actor, producer, and director Tom Hanks.
Hanx101 Trivia (BlueLines Studio) will test your knowledge across a variety of categories — from history to math and geography to food — and multiple game modes and become the ultimate trivia master.
On 9 September, Horizon Chase 2 (Aquaris Game Studio), the sequel to the award-winning racing game hits Apple Arcade. It features a unique art style, classic 90’s arcade action, multiplayer online for all modes, and lots of customisation.
A week after that, on Malaysia Day (September 16) wake up to Garden Tails: Match and Grow (Play Dots), a match three game that’s calming. Instead of stressing out players, this game wants you to take a break, sit back, and start growing a vibrant and lush garden, one puzzle at a time.
The second to last Friday in September (23 September) will see the return of Shovel Knight in Shovel Knight Dig (Yacht Club). The indie game darling returns for another 2D side scrolling platform adventure when Drill Knight broke into his campsite and stole his treasure.
The game is the first Shovel Knight title in glorious high color pixel graphics and sound.
Last but not least, GRIS+ (Devolver Digital) joins the Apple Arcade library as the sole “App Store Greats” this month. That means it is a popular game on the App Store and it is now available for free to Apple Arcade subscribers.
Gris is a young girl lost in her own world dealing with a painful experience in her life. In the game, players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score.
