It’s a new month and that means new games every Friday for those who are subscribed to Apple Arcade.
This month’s lineup begins with the Amazing Bomberman from Konami.
Amazing Bomberman
While waiting for the return of Super Bomberman R that is set to come out next year (read all about it here), fans of the explosive multiplayer game can start blasting each other to the rhythm of the music with Amazing Bomberman starting this Friday (5 August).
The teaser trailer of the game doesn’t show much and as a long-time fan of the franchise, it looks like a mesh between the classic Bomberman game and the distraction of Beatmania – a once popular music franchise that Konami pioneered.
My Talking Tom+
Back in the early days of the iPhone, one of its most popular apps was an animated cartoon cat that would repeat whatever you say in a cute voice. It was novel, and it became a phenomenon.
On 12 August, My Talking Tom+ will join Apple Arcade plus. Now a virtual pet, players can adopt Tom, pet, poke, dress, and even talk to Tom, while tending to his needs, and more, all without microtransactions.
Jetpack Joyride 2
Looking for something more action-packed? Barry Steakfriesmakes his return in Jetpack Joyride 2 and this time it’s available exclusively on Apple Arcade on 19 August.
As the name suggests, Jetpack Joyride 2 is the sequel to the iconic and acclaimed mobile classic that features everyone’s favourite jetpack piloting and five o’clock shadow sporting protagonist.
Love You to Bits+
Last but not least, Love You to Bits+ joins Apple Arcade on 26 August. This charmingly cute, puzzle-filled, point-and-click, sci-fi adventure lets players follow the journey of Kosmo, a clumsy, rookie space explorer in search of Nova, his robot girlfriend.
After a fatal accident, Nova’s pieces are scattered across outer space, so now it’s up to Kosmo to retrieve all of Nova’s bits, rebuild her, and get back together. As they complete levels, players will discover Kosmo and Nova’s heartbreaking love story.
What’s Apple Arcade, Arcade Originals, and App Store Greats?
Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that lets you play the more than 200 games in the library, for free, without micro transactions, on you iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
Among these games are Arcade Originals — games that debut on Apple Arcade and are exclusively on Apple Arcade on mobile devices, and App Store Greats — classic mobile games that are now on Apple Arcade and had their micro transactions removed.
