When buying a new console, some of you don’t really care about the other features; you simply want to play games. The PS5 has a good amount of features, but one is being eliminated since no one is using it or even knowing it exists.
According to Eurogamer, the Accolades feature that debuted on PlayStation 5 systems is being removed by Sony.
If you don’t know what it does, here’s a quick tour. Basically, when you had a good online matches with someone, you can give them Accolades for being a Helpful, Welcoming or Good Sport player.
But Sony will be removing the feature in fall 2022, citing:
The feature hasn’t seen the level of usage we anticipated, so we are refocusing our efforts.
The Verge said the feature isn’t widely used because Accolades aren’t available for every title on the console and it’s difficult to access and use.
Are you one of the few gamers who use this feature regularly, or do you never use it?
